Bio | Joshua James Clayton Brown, 36, passed away June 2, 2017.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, from 1 to 2 p.m., with funeral at 2 p.m., both at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence. Burial will follow at Mount Washington Cemetery.
Josh was born on August 8, 1980, in Kansas City, Mo., to George Lewis Brown and Helen Katherine (Todd) Brown. He attended Van Horn High School, and was the business owner of Midwest Custom Detail. He met Audrey Timmerman in 2002, and they married on June 20, 2009. Even at a young age, he was artistic, and as an adult, he enjoyed drawing, building model cars, and setting up stereo systems. He loved watching the KC Chiefs and Royals in his man-cave, but most of all, he loved his family. His two daughters, ages 8 and 3, were his pride and joy. He had a heart of gold. He was a devoted and caring husband, father, son, and brother, and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Audrey; two daughters (his "lil monsters") Phoebe Riley Diane and Lexi Marie Jean; siblings, Courtney Brianna and George Quentin Tyler; mother, Helen; cats, Tanner and Lil Man, dog, Minion, and turtle, Turbo the Painted Turtle (also known as Triple T); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his two babies, his father, and grandparents.
