| Bio | Shawn M. Hunter, 35, Independence, Mo., passed away from complications from cystic fibrosis Jan. 18, 2010, at K.U. Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Eastside Christian Church, 2629 Blue Ridge Blvd., KCMO 64129. Cremation. Shawn was born Nov. 28, 1974, in Independence. He graduated from Van Horn High School before earning a B.S. in Business from Ottawa University. He worked at Sprint as a Network Engineer until 2001 when his health kept him from working. Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Michael Hunter. He is survived by his best friend - his wife, Melissa Hunter, of the home; mother, Mary Wolf, Polk City, Fla.; sister, Angela Hogue; niece, Ashley and nephews, Mike and Zach and in-laws, Ron and Freda Hon.
