Jeffrey Jerome Strickland, 52, of Kansas City, MO, passed away December 19, 2016 at Research Medical Center. Jeffrey was born September 18, 1964 at KU Medical Center, in Kansas City, KS to Mary E. and Walter E. Strickland Sr.
Jeffrey was a lifelong area resident of Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Van Horn High School Class of 1982. After graduation, he worked at Muehlebach Hotel, worked at General Motors for 9 years, and was a dedicated worker at Unilever for 17 years.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Terry Grimmett.
He is survived by his son, Jordan M. Strickland, Kansas City, MO; mother and father, Mary and Walter Strickland, Kansas City, MO; four brothers, Barron Grimmett (Linda) of Ontario, California, Walter E. Strickland Jr. of Houston, Texas, Kenneth Strickland (Vernia) of Tacoma, Washington, Leonard Strickland of Kansas City, MO, Missouri; three sisters, Yvonne Leathers of Kansas City, MO, Wanda Strickland of Houston, Texas, Joyce Davis of Lee’s Summit, MO, 18 nieces and nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Services for Mr. Strickland will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, December 30, 2016, at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the chapel.
