Bio | Robert Garfield Fetters, Jr., 46, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away August 8, 2010 at home. Robbie was born February 4, 1964 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Robert G. Fetters, Sr. and Alyce Baumgartner Fetters. He graduated from Van Horn High School. Robbie received his certificate for basic active duty training in 1985 and served in the National Guard and Army Reserves, where he was honorably discharged in 1993. Robbie was a concrete pump operator and a member of the Teamsters Local 101. He was a Mason and former member of Ararat Shrine Temple and its Trykes Unit. He was preceded in death by his father in 2004. Survivors include his mother, Alyce; brothers, Russell Fetters and Delmar Fetters (Tammy); a half brother, Bill Fetters (Bella); as well as nieces and nephews. Robbie was a dedicated son, brother and friend. He will be remembered as a person who always put others before himself, and would always stop to help someone in need any way he could. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 28th, at the Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Ararat Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund, 5100 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, MO 64129.
