| Bio | In loving memory of our mother, grandmother, dear sister and friend Michelle Renee (Fitzwater) O’Guin. Michelle R. (Fitzwater) O’Guin 50, of Independence, MO passed away February 4, 2013 at North Kansas City Hospital. Michelle was born in Independence, MO on November 21, 1962 to Helen (VanArtsdalen) and Marvin Fitzwater, Sr. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1981. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Marvin Fitzwater, and brother, Marvin E. Fitzwater, Jr. (Ed) and the children’s father James L. O’Guin, Sr.
Michelle is survived by her children: Erica R. Maldonado of Independence, MO; James L. O’Guin, Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Edward D. O’Guin and Kristen M. O’Guin of Independence , MO; sisters, Frances Grubb and husband, Lee of Independence, MO, Cheryl Garringer and husband, Gerry of Independence, MO, Denise Pace and husband, Matthew Pace of Independence, MO; brother, Gary Fitzwater of Independence, MO; and her grandchildren, Addison and James Maldenado, Damion O’Guin and Abel O’Guin, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Michelle’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Independence, MO.In Lieu of flowers, family request contributions made out to James O’Guin to help fray funeral expenses.
