Bio     Rodney Morris, 42, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at his home after a long illness. He was born to Benjamin Morris Jr. and Loretta Morris on February 20, 1963. He was a life long resident of Kansas City. His maternal grandmother, Jessie Mae Brown preceded him in death. Rodney was educated in the Kansas City, MO School District, graduating from Van Horn High School in 1981. He was an exceptional cook and aspiring electrician before illness took its toll starting in 1993. All who knew and loved him will miss a truly dedicated individual to his family and friends, his spirit, tenacity and will to live was definitely his trademark. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Loretta Morris, who told "him it is ok to go now son, go home to Jesus". His father Benjamin Morris Jr., who never left his side during this very hard time. You see, Rodney's will to live was driven by his devotion to his mother and father. When they said it was ok to go home after years of suffering, he went peacefully to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. You're laughter, smile, spirit, and your loving ways will be sorely missed. God bless, and we will see you again. (Arr; Park Lawn Funeral Home, 816-523-1234).
