Bio     Jacob (Jake) Charles Kriz Jr., 50 of Sugar Creek, Missouri, passed away January 4th 2012 at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He was born May 9, 1961 in Independence, MO. to Jacob Kriz and Theresa (Lubek) Kriz. Jake graduated from Van Horn High School in 1979. He was a lifelong Sugar Creek resident. Jake was currently employed by Nostrum Laboratories where he worked as a Pharmaceutical Technician. Previously he was employed at Tension Envelope as a machine technician for 25 years. He married Deborah (Plumlee) Kriz on October 10, 1987 where this union produced two loving sons, Lucas Charles and Adam Jacob. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his dirt bike with the boys. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Planning and Zoning Commission. Jake was also a member of Boy Scout Troop 221 and the Tribe of Mic-O-Say where he earned his Honorary Warrior Claws and became Warrior Bent Nail. Following in his footsteps, his sons achieved the rank of Fire Builders and became the 1st and 2nd sons of Bent Nail. Jake is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Theresa Kriz. He is survived by his wife and sons, sisters Emily (Wayne) Hooker of Merriam, Ks. Linda (Gary)Collins of Bartlesville, OK. Marie (Jerry) Juchelka of Atlanta, GA., brothers Edward (Bobbie) Kriz, Tony (Sara) Kriz Independence, MO. Visitation will be January 10th, 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening at St. Cyril's Church in Sugar Creek, MO. A Tribe of Mic-O-Say ceremony will be celebrated at 5:45. The rosary will be said following visitation at 8:00 pm . Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Wednesday January 11th, 2012 at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, 11231 Chicago Ave. Sugar Creek. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to The Sugar Creek Citizens Civic Relief Commission (CCRC) in memory of Jake, 11232 E.
