Pam stepped onto the streets of gold, Thursday, August 17, 2017, from her home in Lee’s Summit, MO. She was surrounded by her loving, devoted family – husband Deane Deason, of the home; mother Pat Driskell, Independence, MO; brother Jim Driskell and wife Rhonda, Blue Springs, MO. The Lord also blessed her with a mother-in-law, Carol Deason, Abilene, KS; sister-in-law Denise Deason-Toyne and husband Mike, Cookson, OK; sister-in-law Diane Deason-Crapo and husband Joe, Bonner Springs, KS. Her niece Jami Owens and nephews Jason Driskell, and wife Elyssa, Jordan Toyne & Kendall Toyne were especially dear to her heart. Pam is having a joyful reunion with her father, who preceded her in death, along with many family members and friends. Family will receive friends Friday, August 25, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Service will be Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. also at Speaks, with burial to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. Music was a big part of Pam’s life. She was always singing praises and worshipping her Lord as a choir member and leader of Children’s Choir at Maywood Baptist Church where she was a life-long member. She was in many musicals and choir at Van Horn High School until she graduated in 1979. She continued her education graduating from Park University with Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management. Pam displayed her love of the Lord throughout her 26 years in the corporate office at Hallmark Cards. This love carried over to her position as the attendance secretary at Nowlin Middle School for the last 8 years. She has been described as an encourager and someone who always looks for the good in all situations. Her past-times were scrap-booking, singing, helping children, and teaching 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school. She displayed God’s grace to all throughout every challenge with which she was presented. She was truly grace filled. Pam is now in the perfect place, Heaven, curled up on her Savior’s lap. Her life on earth was very good but Paradise is so much more. Her heart is filled with happiness and sweet rejoicing, walking with God, away from pain and tears.
