Bio | Judy Lynn Bridge, 53, of Belton, MO passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2014. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25th at the chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO. Judy was born September 2, 1960 in Kansas City, MO to J.C. and Vera Bridge as one of four children. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1978, and later earned certification in insurance sales. Before retiring last year, Judy was an account executive at Capitol Federal and was well established and successful in the insurance industry. Judy loved the water and enjoyed being on the lake, jet skiing, and going to the beach. Later in life, she grew closer to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is remembered for her generosity as she often gave to numerous charities and especially to neighbors and friends in times of need. Judy is loved and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her mother, Vera Bridge of Lee's Summit, MO; brother, Robert Bridge of Independence, MO; sister, Pam Trenchard (William) of Lee's Summit, MO; sister-in-law, Shirley Bridge of Broomfield, CO; nieces and nephews, Megan Ferrier (Scott) and Blake Bridge, and Jennifer and David Trenchard; and ex-husband, Craig Knutson of Crane, MO. She was preceded in death by her father, J.C. Bridge in 1996, and her brother, Fred Bridge in 2012. The family encourages contributions to Harvesters (a charity Judy often gave to) in her memory.
