| Bio | Rhonda Jean Boone, 61 of Greenwood, MO passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Holden Manor. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Odessa Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Rhonda was born June 11, 1960 in Lexington, MO to Elvin L. Boone, Sr. and Bonnie Jean (Cline) Kersley and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from Van Horn High School. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and antique shopping. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose lodge in Independence. She is survived by; 4 children, Tracie Cobian of Colorado, Dustin Brants of Kansas City, MO, Tiffany Cook and husband Adam of Colorado and Tabitha Anderson and husband Luke of Raymore, MO; 7 siblings, Melissa Boone of Lawrence, KS, Richard Boone of Blue Summit, MO, Ronnie Boone of Lake Lotawana, MO, Michael Feighert of Blue Summit, MO, Elvin Boone, Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Sarah Boone of Kansas City, MO and Cynthia Dawson; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister, her parents and long-time companion, Michael J. Steele.
