Bio | Angela Marie (Willis) Parson, 46, of Harrisonville, passed away June 18, 2004, at home, surrounded by family. She was born in Kansas City, May 30, 1958, to Harold and Geraldine (Rempe) Willis. A graduate of Van Horn High School, Angie was a member of Sloan Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. On November 16, 2003, Angie was united in marriage to Ben Parson, who survives. She is also survived by her son, Loren Smith and Kellie Williams, of Independence; one daughter, Amanda Smith and special friend, Dustin, of Raytown; two stepsons, Matt and Mark Parson, both of Harrisonville; one stepdaughter, Debbie Woolf, of Aurora, CO; her mother, Gerri Willis, of Independence; one brother and his wife, Michael and Deidra Willis, of Poplar Bluff, MO; a sister-in-law and her husband, Evonne and Phil Wells, of Lufkin, TX; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn; five grandsons, Jordan, Andrew, Briar, John and Tristan; an aunt and her husband, Bernie and Calvin Wilson, of Raytown; one uncle, John Rempe of Holden; and cousins, Karen Wilson and Mike Wilson, both of Raytown. Angie is also survived by her former husband, Dale Smith; and a host of other family and friends. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mount Washington United Methodist Church, 584 S. Arlington, Independence; with interment in Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society for Lung Cancer Research.
