Bio | William A. “Billy” Mikula, 57, of Sugar Creek, MO, went to his heavenly home May 12, 2017.
Billy was born September 26, 1959, in Independence, MO to Andrew and Mary (Cogan) Mikula. He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1977. Billy worked for the City of Sugar Creek as the Superintendent of Operations for the public works department and was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Sugar Creek. He started his career for the City of Sugar Creek Sept 6th 1977, to January 3rd 1986. He opened Bill’s Lawnmower repair at his home. He then went back to work February 12th 1987, for the City of Sugar Creek and was still employed at the time of his death. Thirty-nine years he worked for the City where he lived and was born and raised. He was a wonderful husband, grandpa, brother, uncle and had many friends. Survivors include his wife Gail (Love) of 10 years; children, Jimmy (Andrea) Nauser, Janae’ Nauser, Brandi Jo (Shannon) Hendrix, and Marky (Amy) Mika; sister, Rosemary Dotson; nieces, Andrea (Rob) Patterson and Amanda (Damon) Dombrowski; nephew, Dennis (Shontay) Mikula; grandchildren, Dalton, Ellie Josko, Matthew, Andi-Jo, and Haydn; great nieces, Mikaela, Tatum, Mia Pia, and Austyn (city limits); great-nephews, Michael, Zander, Dennis Jr., Merrick, and Chris. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, Andrew and Mary Mikula; brother, Joe Mikula; father-in-law, Stan Love; mother-in-law, Florence Love; and grandson, Louie Hendrix. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 16th from 6:00-8:30pm and a service on Wednesday, May 17th at 10:00am both at Carson Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO 64052. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery, Sugar Creek, MO. |
