Bio     Printha Jean Merritt, 46, of Overland Park, KS passed away September 24, 2005 at KU Medical Center. Printha was born April 13, 1959 in North Kansas City. She grew up in Independence, MO and graduated from Van Horn High School. She also lived in Blue Springs, MO before moving to Overland Park, KS where she lived for the past 20 years. She attended William Jewel College, CMSU, and Friends University. She was employed in the Telecommunications Industry for 17 years, her last position as a Project Manager. Printha was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. She was a caring, sharing and compassionate person and was cofounder and leader of the support group Silent Angels. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to play the piano and sing and was song leader of the Healing Services. She was also a member of the C.A.R.T. Team at the church. She had served as Chaplain for the Jaycees and had volunteered as a coach for the Special Olympics. Printha was a beautiful person both inside and out. Her quick wit and great sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She loved animals and will be missed by her beloved cats Scamper and Columbo. Printha is survived by her loving husband and best friend Roger Merritt. She is also survived by her mother Aena Mae (Klepper) Beavers of Blue Springs, MO, her sister Pamela Eshelman of Kansas City, MO, nieces Anne Eshelman of Clay Center, KS and Melissa Eshelman of Overland Park, KS and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Clifton Beavers. Printha will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her but we are comforted in knowing that she is at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. Visitation will be Thursday September 29, from 7-9 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in the Wesley Covenant Chapel, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, KS, 66224. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday September 30, at 11 a.m. at the same location. Private inurnment will be in the Memorial Garden at the Church.
