Bio | Charles T. Leaming II, 50, of Independence, MO passed away June 16, 2010 at his home. A memorial visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. service to follow on Sunday, June 27, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Charles was born June 22, 1959 in Kansas City, MO to Charles T. Leaming I, and Janice (Jispen) Leaming. He attended Rock Creek Elementary School, Van Horn High School and William Jewel College. He was a member of Maywood Baptist Church. He was also a member of the K.C. Kite Club, and could often be seen flying kites at the First Assembly of God Church. He was a proud Eagle Scout with troup #278. On March 21, 2009 he was married to Virginia Goddard- Leaming. In 1981, he was employed by Lake City Army Ammunitions Plant as an electrician, where he was known as "Bear". Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid online poker player with hundred's of online friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles T. Leaming I. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Goddard-Leaming; children, Joshua Leaming, Independence, MO, Dustin Goddard (Sheila), Leavenworth, KS, David Goddard, Fayetteville, NC, and Kody Wiles, Leavenworth, KS; sister, Laura Leaming-Roberts (Bobby); mother, Janice Leaming-Britten; one grandson; one granddaughter; aunts, uncles, nephews, one niece, and a host of friends. He will be dearly missed.
