Bio     enneth Clarence Steffen of Eureka Springs, Arkansas was born September 19, 1958 to Delton and Arlene Steffen in Kansas City, Missouri. Kenny passed away January 8, 2021 in Eureka Springs at the age 62. Kenny was a lifelong Christian. While he recently resided in Eureka Springs, AR the majority of his life was lived in Independence, MO. Kenny graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, MO in 1976. He enjoyed nature and being outdoors. His greatest love was his daughter Melanie. Kenney loved watching her grow into the woman she has become. He is very proud of his daughter. He is survived by his daughter Melanie Steffen and fiancé Ryan Bentlage; sister Kathleen Stephens and husband Phil; step-children Mark and Alissa Grett, Laura Grett, Elizabeth Friend; grandchildren Mason, Amelia, Evelyn Grett; two nieces Amy Backes, Eva Moore; nephew Daniel Stephens; along with several cousins, other relatives, and many friends. Kenny is preceded in death by his parents. A private family service will be held at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri at a later date. Donations may be made to Flint Street Food Bank, 33 N Main Street, Eureka Springs, AR 72632. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
