Bio | Connie Barker, 58, of Independence, Mo., passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at her home.
Visitation will be at noon Thursday, June 22, at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 S. Pleasant St., Independence. The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. June 22 at the church.
Connie was born in Kansas City, Mo., to Bill and Vivian Hayden on July 27, 1958. She graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, Mo. She graduated from UMKC in Kansas City, Mo. Connie married Tim Barker on October 21, 1985, in Independence, Mo. She worked several years at Montgomery Ward. After her career with Montgomery Ward, she spent her time being a mother and homemaker. She was a member of Jobs Daughters during her high school years. Connie was preceded in death by her parents.
Connie is survived by her husband, Tim Barker; stepson, Brad Barker (Jill); brothers, Bob Hayden (Barbara), Bill Hayden (Barbara); sister, Jan Summers; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to your favorite Cancer Charity or Kansas City Hospice.
