| Bio | Kenneth D. Renfro, 48 of Independence went to sleep due to complications of diabetes on May 31, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Pearl Renfro. He leaves behind his brother and sister- in-law, Dave & Ramona Renfro of Rosenberg, TX, a sister and brother-in- law, Jane & Dean Richards of Jacksonville, FL, sister Velma Raines of Kansas City and 3 nephews. After graduating, Kenneth lived in the Indepdence/Sugar Creek area working many years at Metro in KCMO. Kenneth loved to meet and help people. He deliver meals to seniors and assisted getting them to doctor appointments. Kenneth also assisted in escorting children to school then back home. During the Christmas season he volunteered as a Salvation Army Bell Ringer. He enjoyed being there to greet people with a big smile and to have the opportunity to strike up a good ole conversation with anyone who would stop and talk. Toward the end of his life, Kenneth was employed by Liberty Taxi. His other passion in life was to take off and end up where ever...mainly Arkansas where he loved to be. Due to his "free spirit" of not wanting to be tied down, Kenneth never married nor had children. |
