| Bio | MARVA JO JOHNSON Marva Jo Johnson, 66, of Independence, Mo., passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at Centerpoint Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Marva was born August 26, 1957, in Clinton, Mo., to Harman Wayne and Ruth Ellen (Hunter) Coleman. She has been a longtime area resident graduating from Van Horn High School in 1975. She had worked at Children's Mercy Hospital in patient financial service for over 17 years. She enjoyed playing video and spending time with family and friends. She was married to Patrick Johnson on August 29, 1975, he survives of the home. Other survivors include her father Wayne Coleman and a sister, Donna Bongiovanni both of Independence.
