| Bio | Jeanne Fail of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at home on August 6th, 2022. Jeanne was born in Kansas City on May 27th, 1956 and spent her childhood in Independence. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1974. Although she held many different professional titles, her work within the Independence School District was the work she loved the most. More than anything, Jeanne loved her family. She and husband Mark spent 33 years laughing, loving, and building a beautiful life together. Jeanne and Mark were best friends and constantly joked with each other. Jeanne was a wonderful mother to two daughters and a son. She loved her children with everything she had. She was also a grandma to two grandchildren, and she loved to dote on them every chance she got. Her love and support did not stop with her immediate family. Jeanne did so much for anyone in need. She never allowed anyone to go without if she could help it. She was a beautiful person, and we are all better for having known her. Jeanne is preceded in death by her father Michael Lombardo and sister Jana Lombardo. She is survived by her mother, Noel Lombardo; husband Mark Fail; siblings Michael Lombardo (Cindy) and Jamie Lombardo; children Kate Westcott (Luke), Andi Minks (Eddie), and Jacob Fail (Emma); grandchildren Ivy and Atticus. A memorial visitation will be held from 1-2pm with a service following at 2pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Mother’s Refuge in Independence, MO. |
