| Bio | David Wayne Gillette, 59, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015. A visitation will be held at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 8, 2015 with a funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America or Mic-O- Say Tribe. David was born August 26, 1956, son of Barney and Birdie Gillette. He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1974. He became an Eagle Scout in 1971. David attended TOD Comp in Columbia in 1984 and started work at USDA in 1985 and retired in 1998. David is preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Birdie Gillette; and brother, Dale L. Gillette. He is survived by his sister, DK Barr (Tom); sister-in- law, Melody Gillette; nieces, Brooke Berry (Brain), Victoria Barr, Katelyn Barr, Nathalia Barr and Madeline Gillette; nephew, Lucas Gillette; great-nephew, Kendrick J.
