(Arrangements: Park Lawn 816-523-1234) Carolyn Joann Folkert(1956 - 2014) Carolyn Joann Folkert, 57, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014. Visitation will begin at noon, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m., on Friday, June 13, at the Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, 816-523-1234. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Carolyn was born August 16, 1956, in Independence, Mo., to Charles H. and Helen L. (Harland) Folkert. She retired from GEHA. She was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Charles R. Folkert. She leaves her brother, Joseph E. (Victoria) Folkert; sister, Marcia (Kevin) Brauchi; sister-in-law, Linda L. Folkert; nieces and nephews, Beth Wiles, Sheryl Folkert, Michael Folkert, Melanie Kauffman, Kimberly Ann Folkert, George S. Folkert, Erin R. Boyce and Helen Brauchi; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves special friends including, Rosa and Cliff Cloyd, Independence Police Department and V.I.P.S.
