Bio     Michael L. Bultemeier, 58, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, June 20, 2014. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June25, at the chapel. Burial will be at Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Mike was born April 20, 1956 in Independence, MO as one of two children to Herbert L. and Martha A. (Combs) Bultemeier. He graduated Van Horn 1974 before attending Northwest Missouri State. Working for Bendix, he met his wife Cheryll Sue (Kenagy). They married May 4, 1979 and together raised two children. He later worked with his parents at their family's machine shop, Bultemeier Enterprises and later took over the business with his wife until their closing in 2009. Mike was an extremely active man enjoying many outdoor activities including hunting, camping, kayaking, skiing and many more. He enjoyed taking wildlife photography, participating in municipal campaigns, and was a member of the Blue Springs, County Committee. His family remembers him as smart, talented, and always devoting all of his energy into any task he took on. Mike is loved and will be missed. He is survived by his wife of 35 years; daughter, Lisa Rupniewski of Independence; son, Jason Rupniewski of Kansas City, MO; nephew, Hunter Bultemeier of Durango, CO; brother, Patrick Bultemeier and wife Becky of Edwards, CO; and his parents. He was preceded in death by nephew, Graham Bultemeier.
