Julie Ann Wilson Six Rosenhamer Former area resident killed during holdup of restaurant Special to The Times A former Independence woman was shot and killed Tuesday morning at a Church's Fried Chicken restaurant in Wichita, the Wichita police said Tuesday. Capt. Mike Hill said 26-year-old Mrs. Julie Ann Six Rosenhamer, the manager of the restaurant, was shot once in the chest with a handgun during an early morning robbery. A man and woman, described as in their teens, ordered Mrs. Rosenhamer and two other employees into a back room at about 1:45 a.m., he said. Police have not determined the exact chain of events or what prompted one of the assailants to fire at the employees. Mrs. Rosenhamer died shortly afterward at a hospital. The other two employees were not injured. Police have descriptions of the two assailants but no suspects, Capt. Hill said. Mrs. Rosenhamer was a member of the Heritage Baptist Temple, Blue Springs. She had attended Van Horn High School. Mrs. Rosenhamer was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and lived in Independence before moving to Wichita in 1981. She leaves her husband, Harold E. Rosenhamer Jr.. a son, Adam Six, and three daughters, Brooke Six, Kelley Six and Melanie Heitzman, all of the home; a sister, Mrs. Janet Wilson, Kansas City; her father, Billy Floyd Wilson, Grain Valley; and her mother, Mrs. Peggy Wilson, Kansas City. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Carson Independence Chapel; burial in Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. |
