She was born in Independence and had been a lifelong resident. Miss Phillips had worked as a machine operator for Lewis Industries Inc. from 1973 to 1978. She leaves a son, Matthew Phillips of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Sheri Nash, Independence, and Mrs. Christy Thomas, Peculiar, Mo; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. Phillips of the home; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth A. Phillips, Sugar Creek; and her maternal grandfather, Alfred Czeschin, Pleasant Hill, Mo. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Carson Independence Chapel; burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel. |
