Bio     Catherine Tousley Obituary Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 20, 2008. Catherine Marie Tousley, 51, of Liberty, Mo., earned her wings to heaven after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, at DW Newcomer's Sons White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone. Burial to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. A "Celebration of Life" in honor of Cathy will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Jesus Name Pentecostal Church, 5225 North Brighton, KCMO 64119. Cathy was born Oct. 28, 1956, in Kansas City to Arthur and Bernice (Baumhoff) Moss. In April of 1977, she married Tim Tousley and they eventually made their home in the Liberty area. Cathy was employed by the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years and retired in 2008. She loved reading, playing cards, flowers and gardening. Cathy taught Sunday School for over 25 years and was a member of Jesus Name Pentecostal Church. She will be missed by all whose lives she has touched. She is preceded into heaven by her parents. Cathy is survived by her husband of 31 years, Tim, of the home; a son, Jason Tousley and his wife Morgan, KCMO; a daughter, Stephanie Tolbert and her husband Bryan, KCMO; a brother, Joseph Moss, San Jose, Calif.; three sisters, Marilyn Borum, Colorado Springs, Colo., Theresa Lambrecht, Independence, Mo., and Marcella Hoyle, Liberty; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

5/1/2024 / 1:00:00 PM - Jerry R. Williams, nationally recognized sculptor, artist and Professor Emeritus, University of Oregon will make a major gift to Van Horn High School. Jerry is a VH Alumni (1960) and will be gifting a Falcon sculpture he created to VH at this time. All school alumni are welcome to attend.
8/17/2024 / 6:00:00 PM - Saturday morning @ 10:00 am there will be a guided tour of Van Horn. It is the time to see all of the newly renovated area’s of the school.
