| Bio | Patricia S. Shick, 56, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 24 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Floral Hills Chapel. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Cremation: with private inurnment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Hope House. Patty was born March 14, 1956 in KCMO to Samuel and Patsy (Grimm) Hibbs and had lived in this area all of her life. Patty had been a Manager for Winstead's Restaurant. She was a member of The Church of the Brethren in Osceola, MO and a member of the Moose Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, James N. Shick of the home, 3 daughters, Brandy Anderson (Todd), Charity Newton, Misty Newton (Jason), 2 sisters, Laura McClenahan (Ricky), Iva Parker, 4 brothers, William Hibbs, Greg Hibbs, Steven Hibbs (Theresa), Jerry Hibbs (Lena) and her grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Breanna, Morgan and Jason, Jr., 2 brothers-in-law, Ray Shick (Kathy), Tommy Shick (Gina), 2 aunts, Joann and Sandy, her K-9 companion Toto and many nieces, nephews and friends.
