Mike was born on June 24, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Arthur and Beverley Bolten, and grew up in the Kansas City area. In 1975, he married Kim Bolten and they had 4 children together. Mike worked as an insulator and in asbestos removal for many years of his life. He was also a member of the Union, Local 27. Mike is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Shelly Cox; and the mother of his children, Kim Bolten. His survivors include his children and their spouses: Melissa Bolten and Tony Jenne, Crystal and Damien Tovar, Jacob Bolten, and Anthony and Melanie Bolten; his grandchildren: Cameron Bolten, Miranda Bowen and Austin Ray, Blair Bowen, Ronnie Tovar, Travis Tovar, Victoria Bolten, Max Bolten, Aiden Camp, Brecklyn Camp, and Mckenna Bolten; his great- grandchild, Beckham Rayhis; his siblings: Matthew Bolten, Cindy Wells, and Robin Rife; many nieces and nephews; and his good friend, Brenda Staggs. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved going to the casino and listening to rock and roll music. He had a love for motorcycles and had dreamed of buying a Harley Davidson one day, but as everyone knows, he was selfless and would always do for others before doing for himself. He was tremendously proud of his children, and the lives that they created for themselves. There was never a person who didn’t know how much he cared about them. Mike was beloved by all of his family and friends and will be deeply missed. “We love you Pops!” Arrangements: Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs, MO 816-229-5551 |
