Mrs. Lesa Howerton Loos, 20, of 116 S Hedges, Sugar Creek, MO was found dead Sunday October 12th, 1975 at a trailer park at 7000 East US 40 Hwy of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Mrs. Loos was a lifelong area resident. She worked for William Volker & Co. and was a graduate of Fort Osage High School in 1973. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church. She leaves her husband, John C. Loos of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Howerton, and three brothers, Paul R. Howerton II, Joel D. Howerton and James Alan Howerton, all of 639 Aztec, Independence and another brother John E. Howerton, Los Angeles; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Flavey Hayes, 2039 Ashland, Blue Summit; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Ockerstrom, Iron River, Mich., and her paternal great- grandmother, Mrs. Maggie Howerton, Lee’s Summit. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Speaks Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
