Bio | Wanda Marie (Veit) Sanford, 50, Independence, Mo., passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Wanda was born December 1, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo., and
was a Kansas City/Independence resident all of her life. She was a graduate of Van Horn High School and an outgoing person who loved the outdoors, canoeing and camping. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles "Lefty" Veit,
in 2004. Wanda is survived by her fiancee, Rick Jennings of Independence; her three children, Jason H. Seaton and Christina Marie Seaton, both of Independence, and Jerry William Sanford Jr. of Lee's Summit, Mo.; her mother, Patricia Veit of Independence; sister, Karen Glor of Independence; brother, David Veit of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; sister, Debbie Miller of Independence; granddaughter, Antonia Marie Sanford of Gardner, Kan.; three nephews; and
one niece. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3637 Lee's Summit Road, Independence. Burial will be in Mount Olivet
