Bio     Scot Douglas Shockley, 47, Blue Springs, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital of Blue Springs. Mr. Shockley was born in Kansas City and graduated from Van Horn High School. He worked at Blue Springs Ford for 27 years. His survivors include his wife, Sherry, of the home; one son, Jason, and his wife, Kristy, Greenwood, Mo.; his parents, Ray and Alpha "Dutch" Shockley, Independence; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Maureen Shockley, Independence; two grandsons, Austin and Cade; two nieces, Jennifer and Leslie; his mother-in-law, Audree Oldham; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Steve Oldham, Spencer and Karen Oldham, and Sandy and Eddie Veach, all of Lee's Summit; and six nephews. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lee's Summit Christian Church. Private inurnment will be at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to The American Cancer Society. Arrangements under the direction of D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel.

Jerry is a VH Alumni (1960) and will be gifting a Falcon sculpture he created to VH at this time. All school alumni are welcome to attend.
