| Bio | I received a BA in Sociology from UMKC in 1977, but continued working in Retail until becoming employed by the US Postal Service as a Manual Distribution Clerk. I married David Mayta in 1987 immediately inheriting 5 sons and one granddaughter. We now have four grandchildren and one great-grandson on the way. Dave and I met volunteering for PAWS, Inc. a local reduced-cost neuter/spay program for dogs and cats. We are involved in many volunteer organizations. This will be our ninth year that we have been producers at City Theatre of Independence. We make "producer's night" a fundraiser for PAWS, Inc. and ABF. Dave retired in Jan 2003 and has been working on his Honey-Do list (sometimes). I will be joining him in retirement in seven years. We enjoy volunteering, eating out, our friends, and our dogs and cats. When time allows, I enjoy various needle work, crafts and reading Anne McCaffrey books and others. I have an extensive Dragon collection, spawned by the love of Anne's Dragon Riders of Pern books. Does this make me the Dragon Lady....? |
