| Bio | Yvonne Sue Hansen, 59, Lawrence, Kan., died at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital June 11, 2015. She was born June 18, 1955, in Independence, Mo., the daughter of Paul Edward and Helen Ileen Owen Hansen. She was a 1973 graduate of VanHorn High School in Independence and a graduated from beautician schooling. She worked as a beautician in Atchison, Kan., and as a correctional officer at the Lansing Correctional Facility for five to six years. She was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Oskaloosa. Survivors include her father and step mother, (Rosalee), three sons, Tim Pittman of California, Brannach Hansen, Kansas City, Mo., and John Michael Hansen, Hays, Kan.; two brothers, Timothy J. Hansen, Plano, Texas, and Mark (Rosetta) Hansen, Lawrence; sister, Laura (Frank) Ozimek and granddaughter. She was preceded in death by sister, Paula Hansen. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Barnett Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. prior to service. Burial will follow at the Wildhorse Cemetery in McLouth, Kan. Married to John Gerardy 1989; Adopted twin grandson to raise as my own, grandson was from my older son Timothy from my first marriage. My husband passed away and I took my maiden name back as did my boys took my maiden name also. We left Atchison, Ks and moved to Lawrence to live closer to my brother Mark to help care for myself and my sons. I have a wonderful sister in law. My twins are now 17 and finishing their Jr. year in High School. God Has Blessed me greatly. |
