Bio | More detailed obituary James Leroy “Jimbo” Boring, 61, Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life Thursday, September 8, 2016, at University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri, due to complications from heart bypass surgery. Jimbo was born July 23, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri. Jimbo is survived by his loving life partner, Pamela Williams; daughter, Heather Hendley; grandchildren, Arik and Lexie all of Belton, Missouri; mother, Dorothy Boring of Camdenton, Missouri; his sisters, Linda McCay of Blue Springs, Missouri and Sandra Frakes of Riverside, Missouri and a host of relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee Boring. He served his country as a member of the United States Marines Corps from 1973 to 1979. He worked at GE Electric and enjoyed an early retirement at his lakefront home. He enjoyed filling his days hunting, fishing, chopping wood, building seawalls, and enjoying time with friends and family. Jimbo was so many things to so many people, he will truly be missed. A private family graveside service with military honors will be at Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery in Laurie, Missouri. A Celebration of Jimbo’s Life will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Elks Lodge in Greenview beginning at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation (www.ToysForTots.org) in his honor. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
