Bio | John Bernard Bogacz, 52 of Independence passed away Friday, June 8th, 2007 at his home. Visitation will be Thursday, June 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sheil Colonial Chapel, 47th and Blue Ridge Boulevard where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 15th at 10 a.m. at Nativity of Mary Parish in Independence with burial immediately following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Nativity of Mary Parish. John was born in Independence, MO on October 8, 1954 to Joseph and Mary Bogacz. He was employed at United Parcel Services for the last 29 years and was also employed at Arrow Speed Warehouse for the last 2 years. John was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Bogacz and his brother-in-law, Mike Love. His survivors include his daughter, Mallory Bogacz of Ballwin, MO; his brother, Tom Bogacz and wife, Heather; his sister, Theresa DeHart and husband, Matt; his sister, Fran Love; his brother, Mitch Bogacz and wife, Carol, all of Blue Springs. His sister, Mary Pappas and husband, Jim of Independence; his brother Anthony Bogacz of Kansas City; his brother Bernard Bogacz and wife Lisa of Oak Grove; his uncle Ted Bogacz and wife Lorene as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
