Christopher J. Ryan, 58, of Independence, MO, passed away August 23, 2011 after a very long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. His body could not fight anymore. Christopher was born June 22, 1953 in Kansas City, MO. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and then become a successful computer programmer until his disease put this amazing young man into retirement. He enjoyed camping, the outdoors, motorcycles, making funny movies and was always the life of the party. Christopher is preceded in death by his mother, Nancey Ryan. He is survived by his father, Leonard Ryan; sister, Nancey Eberle; brother Phillip Ryan and wife Georgia; his three children, Cristi Fortner & husband Jason, Brittney Ryan, and Brandon Ryan; his four beautiful grandchildren, Charli Ann, Jake, Andi and Albert, and many more family members and wonderful longtime friends. Christopher put up a courageous fight against M.S. and with that the family would suggest memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 7611 State Line Rd., Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, August 26th at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday at Muehlebach Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. |
