Bio     Donald Gary Miller, 64, passed away at Centerpoint Medical Center on Tuesday, October 2nd. Gary was born on July 10, 1954 in Kansas City, MO. to Fred Miller and Betty (Willard) Miller. He is a graduate of Van Horn High School and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia. He was a talented actor and was featured in several productions at the Independence Community Theater, including “Arsenic and Old Lace”. An avid music fan, he loved attending concerts and listening to everything from Southern Rock to Motown. Known for his quick wit and generous heart, he was a free and creative spirit whose smile and keen sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. Gary is survived by his faithful and loving partner of 36 years, Michael Williams; sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Louis Colombo; niece Gina Sigillito and a host of cousins and family. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Miller and father Fred Miller. A private family memorial will be held on a date to be determined.
