Sandra Kay "Sandy" James, 48, Waynesville, Mo., died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in St. Louis.
Mrs. James was born May 9, 1954, in Independence, the daughter of Ronald and Rosemary Lentell. She grew up and attended school in Independence. She graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1976 with a bachelor's of science in special education. She married Norman Edward James on Feb. 28, 1976. She worked in special education for 25 years and had been a teacher in the Waynesville School District since 1989.
Her survivors include her husband, Norm, of the home; a daughter, Shawna Brake, and her husband, Raymond, Dixon, Mo.; a son, Robert James, of the home; her parents, Ronald and Rosemary Lentell, Independence; a brother, John Lentell, Kansas City; and two grandsons, Wesley and Ashton Brake.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Waynesville Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Dunkard Cemetery, St. Robert, Mo. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel in Waynesville, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Sandy James Educational Fund. Contributions can be left at the funeral home or at Waynesville High School. |
