Bio | Linda Sue Baker, 64, of Independence MO passed away May 4, 2018 surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be 10 am, Thursday May 10th at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will be 6-8, Wed. at the chapel. Contributions made to Bailey's Foundation to help local children and their families as they fight cancer, US Bank 701 West Main Street, BS MO 64015.
Linda was born March 30, 1954 in Independence MO. She graduated Van Horn High School in 1972. She Worked at the Independence Examiner for 9 years and then worked at GEHA for 25 years. Linda enjoyed working in her flower beds and caring for her beloved dog Trooper. She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs. She was also very active with Bailey's Foundation as a member of the Golf Tournament Fund raiser committee. Linda was preceded in death by her father Vernon Harold Langford, mother Mary Jo Gard, step-father Dwight Gard, paternal grandparents Frank and Pearl Langford, maternal grandparents Ernie and Virginia Parish.
Linda is survived by her son Shane Dunnam and wife Sara, Independence; nephew who she thought of as a son Scooter Gricher; brother Harold Langford, Blue Springs; sisters Sharon Gricher (Donnie Hershburger) Independence, Twin sister Brenda Bradford, Bossier City, LA,; Lisa Hammond, Oklahoma City, OK. and Lisa Young and husband Red, Independence; six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. |
