| Bio | Rick L. Julian, age 65, of Independence, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on January 31, 2019.
Rick was born January 17, 1954, in Jackson County, Missouri. He was the son of Harold Julian and Fay (Cargill) Julian. Rick grew up in the Kansas City and Independence area, graduating from Van Horn High School. Rick worked at Sears before starting his career with the United States Postal Service. He was a dedicated employee of the USPS for 31 years, working at the Kansas City and Independence locations before retiring. Rick enjoyed spending time around family and friends. Rick often reflected on the fun memories he had as a child with his many cousins. Rick was always up for a good prank. Rick was a fan of all types of music and enjoyed spending time listening to various DJs.
Rick is survived by his sister, Beverly Ahring; nephew, Jason (Sara) Ahring; great nephew and niece, Caleb and Audrey; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held in late March at Bland-Hackleman Chapel in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
