Bio | Gloria Faye Brittain, 51, of Grandview, MO passed away October 5, 2005 at her home. Gloria lost her brief battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Grandview High School Auditorium, 2300 High Grove Rd., Grandview, MO. Visitation 6-7 p.m. before the service. She donated her body to the University of Health Sciences. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gloria Brittain Memorial Fund P.O. Box 182, Belton, MO 64012. Gloria was born on February 27, 1954 in Eugene, OR. In January of 1960, Gloria moved to Grandview from Springfield, OR. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1972. She coached T Ball and was a member of the Grandview Booster Club. She was treasurer of the Grandview Basketball League for 11 years. Gloria was employed by the Grandview Schools since 1994. Gloria was Volunteer of the Year in 1995. Recently she worked as a paraprofessional in special education at Meadowmere Elementary School. She enjoyed going to the lake, camping, bowling and doing crafts. She was preceded in death by her mother, Opal Brown, 1973; step-mother and aunt Nellie Brown, 1999. Survivors include husband, Bob Brittain of the home; children, Cary, Kevin and Katie Brittain all of the home; father, Lowell and wife Shirley Brown, Cairo, MO; two brothers, Neil and wife, Belinda Brown, Gravois Mills, MO and Dennis and wife, Patti Brown, Kansas City, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews.
