Virginia Beach - On February 2, 2015, Michael D. Barnes passed away. Son of Delbert and Deloris Barnes, he was born in Kansas City, MO on June 30, 1954.
Michael was a long time resident of Virginia Beach. He was an architect who specialized in churches, an author, magician and President local Ring 103 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying many days afield hunting and fishing, and a loving father. He will be truly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are children Gabriel H. Barnes (Milissa) and Kimberly C. Porter (Brock); five grandchildren Savanna, Emma, Henry, Annabelle and Charlotte; his mother, Deloris and sister, Cynthia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 2002 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. A Memorial Service will be held at Freedom Fellowship Church, 836 Regency Drive, in Virginia Beach on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00pm.
