Bio | Teddy Gene Bryant, 65 of Independence, MO, passed away May 21, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, May 26th 10:00 am at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Graveside service will be held at the Younger Cemetery in Stockton, Missouri (Cedar County) in June. Teddy Gene Bryant was the second son born to Willis Bryant and Wanda Sue(Hendricks) Bryant of Stockton, Missouri. The family moved to the Kansas City area in 1963. Teddy was a 1972 graduate of Van Horn High School (Independence, MO) and a 1984 graduate of Park College (Parkville, Missouri). Teddy was an elementary school teacher for the Kansas City, MO School District for several years. Later Teddy worked for UMB Bank and the 16th Judicial Court of Jackson County Missouri. Teddy enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, running, and drawing. Teddy had many friends throughout the Kansas City area, as he never met a stranger. Teddy is preceded in death by his mother, father, grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Teddy is survived by his daughter Wendi Mathews and grandsons Evan Luke Mathews, 23 and Braden Creed Mathews, 20 of Atlanta , GA. He is also survived by his brother Rob Bryant of Indianapolis, IN, sister Cindy Bryant of Independence, MO, his niece Barbara Sue Graves of Kansas City, MO, nephew Jeremiah Tordoff of Independence, MO as well as his five great nephews; Christopher Thimesch, Adrian Thimesch, Marcus Thimesch, Justin Thimesch, and Daniel Chase Tordoff. He is also survived by his great – great nieces; Scarlett Thimesch, Lilyahna Thimesch and great – great nephew Elliot Thimesch.
