It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother at age 65. Kathy was the youngest of four children, and leaves her siblings Roy Hedrick, Wesley Hedrick (Judi), and Sandra Lappin. She raised two sons Nick (Kristal) and Chuck. Kathy’s two grandchildren Brett and Sophia will greatly miss Noni. She was so proud of all their achievements.
Anyone that came across Kathy knew she always found joy being around her family and friends, traveling to Cape May, New York, Las Vegas, Lake of the Ozarks, and Hawaii, and listening to her beloved Elvis, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and Patsy Cline.
Kathy lost her battle to cancer; she fought with grace, dignity, love and an appreciation for life. Although this has been a difficult time, we know she is in a better place.
“For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, and whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
In keeping with the wishes of Kathy, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined in lieu of donations to Kathy’s favorite charity, Cure SMA, in honor of Brett Wilson - Cure SMA: 925 Busse Rd., Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
