| Bio | Sherry Appleberry Bartels of Tunas, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, in a two-vehicle accident in Tunas. Sherry was born in 1953 and graduated from Van Horn High School. She resided in Independence, Mo. with her husband, Gary Bartels, for 25 years, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Gary and Sherry were blessed with a very special child, Jamie Faye, and Sherry was very active for many years with the Sunshine Center and the Exceptionals Softball League. They moved to Tunas in 2006, where she owned and operated Mr. B's Needs & Feeds in Branch, Mo. Sherry is survived by her husband, Gary, of the home; two daughters, Jamie Faye, of the home, and Jennifer Dawn, of Houston, Mo.; and one sister, Rosemary Appleberry. She was a very loving wife, caring mother and an exceptional friend to all. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at St. Williams Catholic Church, Buffalo, Mo. Burial will be in Plad Cemetery, under the direction of Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo, 417- 345-2233. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunshine Center. |
