Bio     GASTONIA - Bonnie Oberhelman Wright, 59, went home to be with the Lord June 2, 2011, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Independence, Mo., born Jan. 25, 1952, to Forrest and Pansy Diebler Oberhelman. Bonnie was a charter member of Agape Evangelic Lutheran Church. She was a RN and RVT Nurse for over 33 years, and worked at Gastonia Surgical Associates, and was also a volunteer with Gaston Hospice. She was a wonderful loving mother. Survivors include her children Forrest Wright of Richmond, VA and Shannon Bouvier and husband Lee of Washington, D.C.; her parents, Forrest and Pansy Diebler Oberhelman of Warsaw, Mo.; sisters, Rosie Roberson of Tenn., Pansy Young of Kansas, Jacqueline Klein Hensley of Missouri and Peggy Rodriguez, also of Missouri. Bonnie's family will receive friends 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home A Celebration of life service will follow at 5 p.m. in the Chapel at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Brenda Bynum officiating. Interment will be private, at a later date in Missouri. The family is asking for everyone to bring their favorite pictures of Bonnie for the Celebration Board at the Funeral Home. Jerry is a VH Alumni (1960) and will be gifting a Falcon sculpture he created to VH at this time. All school alumni are welcome to attend.
