Bio     Kenneth R. Niemann, 55, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on June 16, 2007, at Centerpoint Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, from 5-7 PM at Timothy Lutheran Church (425 NW RD Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO). Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, also at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Sarcomatoid Hepetocellular Carcinoma Foundation and/or Timothy Lutheran Church. Kenny was born on December 20, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to Walter and Hilda (Adam) Niemann. He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1970 and attended Penn Valley Community College where he played basketball from 1971-1972. Ken transferred to the University of Missouri where he received his civil engineering degree in 1974. He worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers for 33 years both in Kansas City and at Whiteman Air Force Base. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Cindy (Kuhn), on July 21, 1973. Ken enjoyed playing basketball, bicycling, running, and just spending time outside-except when he was watching the Mizzou Tigers. Most of all he loved being around his girls and spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted member of Timothy Lutheran Church, serving as an adult Sunday school teacher and anywhere that was needed. He was preceded in death by his father in 2005. He is survived by his: Wife: Cindy of 33 years Daughters: Kristi & Steve Shepard of Houston, TX, Julie Niemann of Kansas City, MO, Mother: Hilda Niemann of Beatrice, NE, Brother: Ron & Jan Niemann of Blue Springs, MO Sister-in Law: Marti & Charlie Schroeder of Parker, CO, and many nieces and nephews.
