| Bio | Christina Marie "Tina" (Manners) Blanck, 68, of Sugar Creek, MO, passed away on January 7, 2021.
Tina was born on November 3, 1952 in Independence, MO to Thomas A. Manners and Nancy J. Hix Manners. As a teenager she spent time hanging out with her friends and working as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Sugar Creek pool. She graduated from Van Horn High School in the class of 1970, and later received her bachelor's degree in history from UCLA.
She worked for Sears and Russell Stovers in early adulthood, but she devoted her career to the field of human resources, most recently with American Century. She excelled at her profession - she was well-organized and truly cared for people. She grew up in the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Cyril's Parish. In her spare time Tina enjoyed playing video games, reading the current events in the NY Times and Washington Post, and pouring through mystery novels. She loved taking trips to visit family and friends in California, but eagerly came back home to care for her beloved pets.
Tina is survived by her older sister Marilyn Manners; aunt Shirley Hix; many cousins, and numerous longtime friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Nancy Manners.
Private memorial activities will be held at a later date. In her honor, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
