| Bio | Following graduation from Van Horn, Jon married Robin James of Independence, Mo. August 4, 1972. The Wrights have two sons: Christian; and Jon Paul. They are blessed with 2 wonderful daughter-in-laws, and have 5 grandchildren (2 girls and 3 boys). Jon graduated with an: A.B. William Jewell 1975; M.Div. Phillips University 1980; and has done Ph.D. work at Trinity Theological/Canterbury, England. He has pastored: Fairmount Christian Church Independence, MO.; First Christian Church, Osceola, MO.; First Christian Church, Tonkawa, OK.; Antioch Community, Kansas City, MO. In December of 1981 Pastor Wright and Robin founded Metro Church of Kansas City and established Metro Christian Academy Early Childhood Center in the Northland of Kansas City. Pastor Wright is currently Senior Pastor of Metro Church of Kansas City (An interdenominational gatthering of Christian beliervers). He has served on the Boards of: The City Union Mission, Kansas City MO.; The Citywide Pastor's Prayer Ministry of Kansas City; The Northland Pastors Prayer Fellowship; as well as officiating as Pastor and President of the Board of Metro Church of Kansas City, Inc. He has done extensive work at the Olford Center for Biblical Preaching in Memphis, Tenn. He is a fellow in good standing with The Trinity Center For Confict Management. Pastor Wright has preached and taught in Churches and conferences throughout the United States and Mexico. Beyond his regular preaching and teaching duties, Pastor Wright serves as an Overseer and Counsel to several other spiritual leaders in diverse Christian ministries. |
