Thomas Gilbert, son of Clarence William Slape, and Katharine (Burton) Slape, was born on May 14, 1951 in Brookington, Missouri.
Thomas was a truck driver for many years. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed building, woodworking, and landscaping
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Anne Slape, of the home; his mother Katharine Slape, Oak Grove, his children, Lacey Barnett, Independence; Ross Slape, Brookfield; Tommy Slape; Casie Slape; and Angel Messick; two sisters, Linda Goza and husband Bob, Oak Grove; and Trease Logan; one sister-in-law, Patricia Gilmore, Brookfield; one son-in-law Matthew Gillette, Independence; one nephew, James Perry, Brookfield; and two grandchildren, Kathryn Gillette, and Matthew Gillette
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Slape; one brother, Edward Slape; and one sister, Carolyn Slape
