PAUL ANDREW 'SKIP' HEDRICK Paul Andrew 'Skip' Hedrick, 62, Sugar Creek, MO, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014. Skip was born July 8, 1951 in Independence, MO, the son of Joseph N. and Helen M. (Boldizs) Hedrick. He worked for GAF Roofing and later for over 26 years at the Ford Claycomo Plant. Skip was a member of the UAW Local 249 and the Eagles Lodge Post #385 in Independence. He was also a member of the Greater Kansas City Water Gardens, and would open his yard for tours. Skip enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking and drawing. Skip was a generous and giving person; he was a friend to everyone. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce A. Hedrick; son, Ben Hedrick and his wife Amber; grandson, Nathan Hedrick; brothers, Joseph Hedrick and Michael Hedrick; and step-brother, David Perkins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Hedrick in 2001 and his parents. Visitation will be from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64050. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , Vitas Hospice, or the American Heart Association .
